If you'd rather have soft and fudge like burfis reduce the cooking time and they taste delicious as well. I used semi sweet baking chocolate. You can use semi sweet chocolate chips. The ingredients are all store bought so it gets made pretty quickly. I used pecans but feel free to use any nuts that you like.

Chocolate Burfi with Pecans
Preparation Time:15 minutes
Cooking Time:20 - 25 minutes
Ingredients
- 4 oz semi sweet baking chocolate bar
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup milk powder
- 1 cup roasted pecans coarsely powdered
- 1 tbsp butter
Method
- Roughly chop the baking bar and set aside.
- Gently roast the pecans. I used a toaster oven to toast the nuts and then cool them and roughly powder them.
- In a sauce pan add the roughly chopped chocolate and let it melt.
- Add in the condensed milk and mix it into the chocolate.
- Add in the milk powder and whisk it in as you are adding it.
- On medium low heat cook for 5 minutes, for soft fudge stop here and add the powdered nuts, else continue to cook for another 10 -15 minutes. The mixture will move away from the sides. Add in the powdered nuts and drizzle the butter on the sides saving some for the pan.
- Apply butter to the cutting pan and transfer the chocolate contents to it.
- Use a blunt knife and cut into squares.
Stays fresh non-refrigerator for 3 weeks.
